So hi all and a belated happy new year!
So I was wondering about something, it occurred to me that every major release of civ happened about every 4-5 years so we might hopefully be expecting some nice news from the guys at Firaxes about a complete new Civ game like something that might be called Civilization 6? Maybe, we won’t know for sure but we will most likely again here something from the guys at Firaxes for sure but if it will be about a new expansion pack or a new game we won’t know yet.
As many of you probably know that the Brave New World expansion pack just very recently was released to be exact on the 9th of July. If you do not know much about its availability yet here is a little overview.
It has been released on Mac and PC on steam and is available as a DLC. You do have to buy civilization 5 to run it just like with God’s and King’s. It is also available on the Apple Mac App Store as a DLC likewise as with steam you need to buy Civilization 5 first and then the DLC.
Of course with both steam and the Mac App Store if you already have civilization 5 you only need to buy the DLC brave new world.
I will be coming out with a review of the game shortly.
Post in the comments what your own opinion on the new DLC is.
First of all I would like to apologise for absence on the blog. This was due to a number reason and the main one was school work.
So now let’s cover the recent civ news.
Firaxes just recently announced the last four civilisations for the brave new world expansion. The civilisations are the following:
Over the months we have seen some really cool civilisations and these ones like the others have that element. One thing which I have recognised with these civilisations is the fact that they are from a more modern era. I have not seen this theme before in the civilisation franchise.
What are your opinions on the new civilisations of the Brave New World expansion pack?
In Pax East Firaxes announced the expansion pack which will probably come out in the summer and this new epansion pack is called Brave new world. Firaxes announced in Pax three new civilizations. They are Assyria, Brazil and Poland
Assyria is a civilization that is industrial and scientific so going for a scientific victory is a good idea.
Brazil is a culture based civilization many of it interesting items are based on tourism
Poland is a military civilization it focuses heavily on mounted horseback, it has a unique unit called the winged Hussar. Poland also gets a free social policy every new era.
Brazil: Pedro II
Poland: Casimir III
Also stay tuned as there are 6 other civilizations to be announced.
In my opinion Gods and kings expansion pack is brilliant as it also says in the title it’s great. Why is it so great well let me tell you it’s got 27 new technologies which makes the gameplay really diverse and more astonishing. The to big hits in this game are for sure religion and espionage.
As I have talked already religion I shall now talk about espionage. Espionage was never that important in the previose version of the saga but now firaxes made sure that spies would actually be one of the most important unit.
As it says in Computerandvideogames.com spies can now steal things like ultra super technoliegies or trying to influences there alies and make them enemies.
I have now finally got some information about the release date and it said that it will be released at the end of spring so around April you could say.
I hope when it comes out you will have a fun time playing it.
Civilization 5 gods and kings expansion pack has been announced and everybody is very exited.
Whats new on this expansion pack:
There are 27 new epic units. There are also 13 new buildings and much more.
Religion played a big part in civ4 and now it’s back in civ5. Using the religion recourse you are aloud to settle your religion and customize it.
Combat has been enhanced quite allot. Especially spies now play a big role in the gameplay now
Now there is religion in civ5 there now new religious city states. These ones give extra bonuses to your religion.
Finally the romans have a scenario at last. The last roman scenario I remember was the one in civ3 now in civ5 the roman scenario is called Experience the fall of rome and there many new civ’s
