Today I would like to talk about something that generally annoys me. Me and a couple of my friends were trying to play a game of civ together with each other. All of us had Mac running the same version OSX 10.8.5, most of us had the game from the app store except one of us, he bought it from steam. Anyway we though because we are all using macs on the same platform playing multiplayer with the Steam version and Mac app store would just work. Well it did not you cant even host a game with each other. And I do find it quite annoying that just because they are from different stores they cant work together.
Just a while ago I went to the the mac app store to read some reviews of Civilization 5 and many of the reviews mention annoying bugs.
As you see the reviews of the bugs are around the release time of the God’s and King’s expansion pack on the Mac app store, so it might be the God’s and King’s could be part of this. Also what quite strange is that these bugs have not been occurring on the Mac version on steam and only on the Mac app store version.
Their might be a reason to this and reason why it’s taken so long to fix is that the steam version and the Mac app store version have different code. It might have somehow in the workflow gotten in to a mess and it might be why its taking so long to fix these bugs.
What is your opinion on this situation comment below
For the nearly two years that civilization 5 has been on Steam (game store) it has lacked the steam workshop.
Now finally a new patch update fixes that and if you know how find your way through the steam workshop and you are a civilization 5 fan this will be just the right thing for you
Yes it is here the demo is finally available and it is for Mac and PC and you can download it from steam.
The rumor still holds power in many souls of many civ fans. But how true is this rumor is it just false hope. It might be but there are always possibilities.
We have made a shy estimate and we are not totally sure about but we are giving this speculation a 50 mark 50 chance. Let us tell you why.
Well maybe because there are not many more things to be added to the game. especially if you have the ” Year Edition” which is available on Steam. But the game has alot more bug issues like I just encountered one today when I gave 2000 gold for exchange for a city and they accepted but I didn’t get the city. Also the graphics need a really powerful computer and that can be quite annoying especially for students who don’t have a pro computer.
So update. That is for sure. Update in February. Not sure
